I tested both builds against Manic Eximus Bombard lvl 190 and Scaldra Dedicant Eximus lvl 190 (both have more EHP than many level cap enemies). Haalvu is the first new Sentient weapon and it comes with base Tau damage. The Tau Status causes enemies to be vulnerable to Status, meaning Tau Status buffs the Status Chance Statuses have against that enemy. This means that the Haalvu is a status machine. Important notes about scaling this weapon's damage at the end Pure Heat Generic pure Heat build Faction multiplier to double dip on Heat Elementalist to boost Status Damage more Crux for the 300% SC to stack even more Heat Primed Shred for the punch through and fire rate If you do not want to use a Faction mod, I highly suggest using Roar. Gas/Magnetic Debilitate Here comes the juicy one. I pair this one with Roar. Primary Debilitate causes combined statuses at 10 stacks to split into their base Elements when they would be procced again. This "split" is applied as an Extra Hit. This means that Debilitate double-dips with Faction multipliers. So yes, the Debilitate build requires a Faction multiplier of some kind (I highly recommend using Roar). You can swap the Faction to the 60/60 Electric mod Primed Shred for the punch through and fire rate Gas to split into Heat and Toxin Magnetic to split into Cold and Electric - Also to deal more damage vs Shields and Overguard 60/60 Modded Electric to boost the Electric DoT So, why does this combination work well? Gas, Heat, Toxin, and Electric DoT are all boosted by Elementalist and the Faction multiplier. The on-hit of all the above are also boosted by the Faction multiplier. The Extra Hit from Debilitate is also boosted by the Faction multiplier Gas and Electric dealing AoE damage at the same time Important Notes This weapon desperately wants a faction multiplier, priming, and fire rate. The Pure Heat build can easily fit a Faction mod in it, however the Debilitate build feels significantly better with Roar. I personally used a Diriga+Tazicor for priming Magnetic and Viral everywhere, which helped out greatly.
