Prerequisites and fight structure

Profit-Taker is the fourth Orb Heist bounty in Fortuna. You need the current Solaris United access requirement and must complete the earlier heist phases before the fight is available. Bring a deployed Archgun with a Gravimag, broad elemental coverage across your weapons, and enough survivability to work under constant pressure.

The Orb alternates between a rotating shield weakness and armor phases. After an armor break it deploys pylons that must be destroyed before the fight can continue. Learn that sequence first. Credit optimization only matters after you can finish the fight reliably.

Step 6 min

Quick start: the four-part loop

  1. Match the shield icon with a damage type available on your primary, secondary, melee, or Operator setup.
  2. When the shield breaks, deploy your Archgun and damage the Orb's legs, then the body.
  3. Chase the pylons immediately, break their protective bubbles by entering them, and destroy each pylon.
  4. Return to the Orb, repeat the shield and armor sequence, and respect the final timer.
  5. After the kill, apply any active credit multiplier correctly and collect the drop before leaving the area.

Checklist

  • Earlier Orb Heist phases are complete
  • A Gravimag Archgun Deployer is equipped
  • The loadout covers a broad set of shield damage types

Cover the shield wheel

Profit-Taker displays the damage type currently accepted by its shields. Spread physical and elemental types across your loadout so most icons can be answered without delay. If the current weakness is missing, Operator damage can cycle the shield to another type.

Do not overload one weapon with every element. Give each weapon a clear job, keep its trigger comfortable, and memorize which slot answers which icon. That small bit of organization removes menu thinking from the middle of the fight.

Loadout plan and KnightFrame slots

Chroma is a traditional credit-focused choice because Effigy can multiply credits when it is positioned correctly at pickup time. Volt offers a strong, active alternative for fast shield and weapon phases. Both still need survivability, status control, and a complete weapon plan.

Common loadout structures use a primary and secondary for shield coverage, an Exodia Contagion Zaw or another capable melee for additional types, and an Archgun built specifically for the armor phases. Use a setup you can execute cleanly before adding fragile speed-run choices.

Volt alternative

Volt rewards active shield placement and clean weapon swaps. Make sure the build can survive while refreshing its damage setup.

Weapon suite

Document every damage type the primary, secondary, and melee provide. Avoid duplicate coverage unless it serves a specific phase.

Reference

Archgun

Build for reliable leg and body damage. The gun must be deployable in normal missions through a Gravimag.

Step Expert

Fight execution and credit pickup

Keep the Orb in open ground so legs, pylons, and incoming threats remain visible. Clear dangerous adds only when they interfere with the phase. During pylon phases, move directly from one marker to the next and return to the Orb without farming the surrounding units.

For Chroma credit runs, Effigy must affect the credit pickup at the correct moment. Place it near the drop, confirm the ability is active, then collect. Credit Boosters and blessings can improve the result, but verify current stacking rules before buying or scheduling around them.

Troubleshooting

Troubleshooting the Orb

No weapon matches the shield icon: use Operator damage to cycle it, then revise your coverage after the run.

Archgun damage feels weak: confirm the correct gun is deployed, its build is complete, and you are damaging the active leg or body target.

Pylons take too long: enter each protection bubble, use a precise burst, and move to the next marker immediately.

You die during swaps: add status resistance or recovery, clear the most dangerous nearby units, and stop sacrificing survivability for a theoretical faster build.
