Introduction and Overview

This guide is adapted from WFPedia's Ultimate Aya Farming Guide (v5.0) by Mebius and skinnix, with contributions from Cardiaz, AquaSalmon, nightmare, and Chalfus. Original content used with attribution.

Warning: As of Warframe update v40.0.0, this bounty rerolling method does not currently work. Bounties now change every time they are replayed. The community is working on alternatives — check the Warframe Aya Discord for updates.

Aya is essential for collecting relics and Prime parts in Warframe. The most efficient farming method uses bounty rerolling on the Plains of Eidolon to find and repeatedly run a "Good Bounty" with all five fast stages.

Squad Composition (2 Leads + 2 Supports)

  • Volt — Primary host responsible for console hacking, assassinations, and drone/teammate speedups
  • Nova — Provides speed through strategic Wormhole portal placement for drone/prisoner escort
  • Wisp — Delivers team buffs via Health and Haste motes with enhanced Ability Strength
  • Nidus — Amplifies Wisp's buffs via Parasitic Link and provides general team support

Finding the Correct Bounties

Fast Stage Types

The five fast stages that make up an optimal bounty:

  1. Capture — Quick target takedown
  2. Caches (surface only, not cave)
  3. Rescue — Prisoner escort via Nova portals
  4. Drone — Escort via Nova portal chains
  5. Assassinate — Target elimination

Terminology

  • Correct Bounty: A bounty capable of having all five fast stages ("Capture the Grineer Agent" or "Find the Hidden Artifact")
  • Good Bounty: A Correct Bounty that actually has all five fast stages in its current rotation
  • Bounty Rerolling: Repeatedly queuing and resetting a Correct Bounty to find a Good one

Bounty Rerolling Process

  1. Enter Plains of Eidolon and start a Tier 5 Bounty from the Konzu Tent.
  2. Fail the bounty by flying away from the mission zone. Stay close to ground to trigger the abandon timer.
  3. Once abandoned, check all tents for Correct bounties ("Capture the Grineer Agent" or "Find the Hidden Artifact").
  4. Queue the Correct bounties and check for all 5 fast stages in any order.
  5. If stages are incorrect, fail the mission, check other tents, and repeat.
  6. If no tents work, leave Plains and re-enter (without door closing to save time).
  7. Once you find the Good Bounty, complete it fully, return to that tent, invite teammates, and run repeatedly until rotation resets.

Tips: Start early in the rotation. Form a squad before reset. Four players rerolling simultaneously significantly increases chances. Place a Necramech at the Cetus gate to keep it open for faster returns.

Volt Build and Procedure

Volt Prime (5 Forma)

Build balances Ability Strength and Ability Duration for Roar damage boost and Speed buffs.

  • Subsume: Roar — Boosts weapon damage for faster mob clearing
  • Archon Shards: 5x Crimson (+10%/+15% Tauforged Ability Strength)
  • Optional: Replace Umbral Fiber with QoL mods; Primed Sure Footed or Power Drift for +15% strength

Volt Procedure

Volt serves as the squad's core member and typically hosts. Key responsibilities:

  • Dialogue Skip: Access the Nightwave tab toward stage completion to skip NPC dialogue
  • Speed Buffs: Dismount from Archwing and buff the squad between stages
  • Drone Escort: Hack the drone, cast Speed AFTER Nova places the first portal (casting before can cause the drone to skip it)
  • Distance Tracking: Monitor the yellow waypoint distance marker. Use portal length (~140m) to estimate position and skip ahead
  • Assassination: As host, Volt initiates the Assassination stage

Nova Build and Procedure

Nova Prime (3 Forma)

Build maximizes Ability Range for effective Wormhole positioning.

  • Subsume: Wrathful Advance — Enables teleportation if Wormhole placement fails
  • Archon Shards: 3x Amber (Casting Speed) + 2x Azure (Energy Max)
  • Key Mods: Aim Glide mods (Boreal's Anguish) for midair portal placement

Nova Procedure

Nova's primary role is placing Wormhole portals for Drone and Rescue escort stages.

Positioning

For Drone stage, quickly position slightly ahead of the Drone. For Rescue stage, position directly above the Rescue target. Dismount Archwing with a melee attack, then hold ADS to lock in midair using Aim Glide mods.

Portal Chain Movement Loop

W → portal → S + slide → portal → W → enter portal → S + slide → portal

Placement Guidelines

  • First portal: slightly ahead of Drone spawn on clear terrain
  • Last portal: 140m portal ending at extraction or aimed at support Necramech
  • Portal height: under 20 meters for both entry and exit points
  • Memorize pathing for different routes to avoid trees, obstacles, and overshooting

Wisp and Nidus Builds

Wisp Prime (2 Forma)

Maximizes Ability Duration and Ability Strength for powerful Mote buffs.

  • Subsume: Empower — +50% additive Ability Strength for motes
  • Archon Shards: 5x Crimson (Ability Duration)
  • Critical Bug: If Wisp is in Archwing when teammates collect motes, buffs get reduced duration from Archwing ability stats. Stay in standard form during mote collection.

Nidus Prime (4 Forma)

Maximizes Ability Strength to amplify Wisp motes through Parasitic Link.

  • Subsume: Empower — Stacks with strength mods for maximum mote potency
  • Archon Shards: 5x Crimson (Ability Strength)

Mote Placement Procedure (7 Steps)

  1. Nidus acquires 2+ Mutation Stacks using first ability with Magus Anomaly
  2. Both Wisp and Nidus cast Empower and grab Energy orb for Energy Conversion
  3. Nidus casts Operator ability for Molt Vigor, spams Void dash for Sling Strength, links Wisp via 3rd ability
  4. Wisp spams Void dash for Sling Strength and places Health mote; Nidus cancels link
  5. Both grab Health mote for Max Stack (72% Ability Strength) from Arcane Bellicose
  6. Repeat Steps 2-3 for second phase
  7. Wisp places Haste mote; Nidus cancels link

Important: Do not place a Shock mote — it can fail the bonus objective for the Capture stage.

Weapons and Companions

Primary: Burston Prime (7 Forma)

Single-target weapon for Capture and Assassination objectives. Avoid using the Incarnon form — its AoE can cause bonus objective failures during Capture stages.

  • Evo II, Perk 1: Forceful Finality (+42 Damage, +5 base multishot on final magazine burst)
  • Evo IV, Perk 2: Absolute Valor (+22% Critical Chance)

Secondary: Akarius Prime (6 Forma)

Primary DPS weapon with large AoE radius and high damage output for mob clearing.

Melee: Innodem (No Forma)

Used for passive utility, not combat. Perk 3: Striking Swiftness grants +30% sprint speed for faster rotations.

Companion: Carrier Prime (1 Forma)

Ammo Case precept maintains ammunition economy for Akarius. Warning: Do not equip mods causing companions to fire weapons (like Assault Mode) — this can fail bonus objectives in Capture missions.

Archwing: Amesha (3 Forma)

Uses Watchful Swarm and Warding Grace. Build for Speed, Strength, and Energy Efficiency with Hyperion Thrusters for mobility.

General Tips and Stage Strategies

Capture

Only assign one squad member to capture, preferably the one with lowest ping. Others should cast Amesha's 1st ability for invulnerability to prevent interaction bugs.

Rescue

Clear nearby enemies and assist Volt with hacking. Proceed directly to extraction — prevents the prisoner from latching onto nearby players.

Drone

The most complex stage but saves the most time when done correctly:

  • Volt hacks the drone and casts Speed AFTER Nova places the first portal
  • Wisp or Nidus deploy Necramech at extraction then immediately leave — no players should remain near extraction
  • Never have two players at the same portal as the drone approaches (causes skipping or rollback)

Assassination

Hold generative mobs using Magus Anomaly and Lockdown. Kill the target only after the red marker appears to avoid respawns.

Caches

Caches spawn in predictable patterns within 3-4 zone sections. Assign sections to teammates and search only designated areas.

Known Bug

No Rewards Bug: Occurs for clients after 41 bounties. Fix: All clients extract to Cetus, host stays, then re-invites teammates.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Aya bounty rerolling method still work?

As of Warframe update v40.0.0, this method does not currently work because bounties now change every time they are replayed. The community is investigating workarounds. Check the Warframe Aya Discord for the latest status.

What is a Good Bounty for Aya farming?

A Good Bounty is a Tier 5 Plains of Eidolon bounty that contains all five fast stages: Capture, Caches (surface), Assassinate, Rescue, and Drone. These are the most efficient for Aya farming.

How long does a bounty rotation last?

A bounty rotation on Cetus lasts 2 hours and 30 minutes with a fixed schedule. You can only repeat a Good Bounty during that specific rotation window. Once the rotation ends, all bounties and their stages reset.

What are the odds of finding a Good Bounty?

For 'Find the Hidden Artifact' bounties the odds are about 1/140 (0.71%). For 'Capture the Grineer Agent' bounties it is about 1/70 (1.43%). With a 4-player squad rerolling simultaneously, odds increase to 2.82% and 5.66% respectively.
