Introduction and Mechanics

This guide is adapted from WFPedia's Secura Lecta Credits Farming Guide (v1.0.1) by Keymapper, BaroKatchow, neon, and contributors including jWFlab, Lord D0m, RustyPotatoes, Bloowhirl, and ZombieEPx. Original content used with attribution.

This farming method leverages the Secura Lecta weapon's passive ability to increase credit drops, combined with Chroma's Effigy for additional credits, and Gas and Electricity status effects during enemy death animations to maximize earnings.

Core Mechanics

The Secura Lecta grants bonus credits upon enemy elimination. The credit multiplier scales with Mastery Rank, capping at MR18 with a 4x credit multiplier that stacks with Credit Boosters.

During an enemy's death animation — a brief window when they are technically still "alive" — additional Gas and Electricity procs trigger extra credit drops. The Gas status applied by the Lecta inherits its credit passive, so Gas and Electricity are the most effective elements.

Important Limitations

  • Ragdolled or lifted enemies cannot achieve the death animation needed for extra credits
  • Abilities causing shattering effects (like Atlas's Petrify or Strangledome) prevent proper credit generation
  • The Secura Lecta passive only works with the host — only the host can effectively deal damage
  • FPS significantly affects performance — lower FPS slows enemies, higher FPS accelerates them

Chroma Build

Chroma's 4th ability Effigy doubles credits dropped in a 10-meter radius. Position it strategically to minimize recasts.

Chroma Prime — Solo Build (1 Forma minimum, 3 Forma optimal)

  • Subsume: Replace 1st or 2nd ability with Ensnare to group enemies in gas clouds
  • Adaptation: Survive status effects from Eximus and Nox toxin procs
  • Hunter Adrenaline: Energy regeneration from damage taken
  • Fleeting Expertise + Streamline: Frequent Ensnare recasts
  • Intensify: Buffs Effigy health and Vex Armor scaling

Arcanes

  • Arcane Nullifier: Prevents energy loss from Energy Leech Eximus
  • Arcane Blessing: Survivability for longer runs
  • Arcane Strike: Melee attack speed

Archon Shards

Recommended for Casting Speed, Ability Strength, Energy Max, or Efficiency on Energy Orbs. Avoid Ability Duration.

Secura Lecta Weapon Build (4 Forma)

Stance Mod

Burning Wasp is the only stance mod that works for this method.

Key Combos

  • Buzzing Sting (W + E): Used for the first ~10 minutes to control damage while anchors accumulate
  • Sparking Torture (E): Switch to this after the initial phase for optimal damage scaling

Mod List

  • Volcanic Edge — Combines with Fever Strike for Gas damage
  • (Primed) Fever Strike — Pairs with Volcanic Edge for Gas
  • Lasting Sting — Extends Gas cloud AoE duration
  • Healing Return — Constant healing, mandatory
  • Weeping Wounds — Maximizes status chance
  • Melee Elementalist or Galvanized Elementalist — Buffs Gas cloud DoT
  • (Primed) Smite Grineer — Double-dips on status DoT; switch to (Primed) Smite Orokin during fissures
  • Primed Reach — Extends range to 5.5m (or Spring-Loaded Blade)

Exilus: Discipline's Merit

Activates Tennokai every 4 whips. Heavy Tennokai attacks should only be used in emergencies when life support is critically low.

Arcane: Melee Fortification

The only viable arcane — other options negatively impact credit gains.

Secondary Weapon and Companion

Secondary: Lex Prime Incarnon (5 Forma)

Used for eliminating Acolytes and clearing Eximus units.

  • Evo II: Hoplite Virtue
  • Evo III: Lex Talionis
  • Evo IV: Critical Parallel

Companion: Sunika Kubrow

The Sunika Kubrow passively targets Eximus units while leaving normal enemies alone.

  • Unleashed (unranked) — Targets Overguarded Eximus; unranked limits range to 35m within Ensnare area
  • Prosperous Retriever — Significantly increases credit income; works even when companion is downed
  • Pack Leader (Primed) — Grants companion Overguard every melee hit, making it nearly invulnerable
  • Fetch — Pulls credit drops toward you
  • Elusive Posture (on claws) — Prevents companion from killing normal enemies
  • Primed Animal Instinct — Expands enemy detection range

Important: Avoid precepts that push, stagger, or kill regular enemies. Only the Sunika should be used for its passive Eximus targeting.

Operator Setup

Focus School: Unairu

  • Last Gasp — Easy resurrection
  • Caustic Strike — Armor stripping for Acolytes
  • Poise — Full knockdown resistance (eliminates need for Primed Sure Footed)

Maintain Poise by regularly transferring between Operator and Warframe modes, which also triggers Magus Anomaly to pull enemies.

Operator Arcanes

  • Magus Anomaly (Rank 5): Mandatory. Groups enemies reliably, especially at mission start or when scattered.
  • Magus Repair: Emergency Chroma healing (optional, can use Magus Elevate instead)

Duo Strategy Operators

  • Main DPS (Ivara): Unairu for armor stripping Acolytes
  • Support (Chroma): Vazarin for healing and emergency revives

Finding the Correct Tileset

Mission: Titan, Saturn (Steel Path)

Steel Path is recommended for increased enemy spawns. The optimal mission is a Survival on Titan.

Why Not Other Missions?

  • Circulus, Lua: No longer viable — Ancient Protectors spam Overguard, preventing Ensnare from working
  • Corpus/Infested: Die too quickly from Gas damage for effective credit farming
  • Grineer: Best credit accumulation plus bonus resources (Nano Spores, Polymer Bundles, Plastids)

Rolling the Tileset

Titan has preferred tileset layouts that maximize farming efficiency. The process involves loading into the mission and checking if the spawn area matches the correct layout. If not, abandon and restart. This can take up to 10 minutes depending on RNG.

Fissure Missions

Running fissures provides double credits after 95 minutes of play plus Prime parts, though relic selection delays may reduce hourly credit rates compared to standard missions.

Chroma Solo Procedure

Setup

  1. After rolling the correct tile, walk to the waypoint and hack the console to activate the survival timer
  2. Turn 180 degrees to locate the farming box area
  3. Place Effigy behind the box at a corner for protection
  4. Position yourself to receive enemies from the side room (tube-like area without terrain obstruction)

Gameplay Loop

  1. Spam Transference (with Magus Anomaly) to group enemies, then cast Ensnare
  2. Keep the front of the box clear for consistent Acolyte spawning
  3. Use Buzzing Sting combo (W + E) for the first 10 minutes to control damage
  4. Transition to Sparking Torture combo (E) around the 10-minute mark as enemies scale
  5. Activate Vex Armor around 1 hour 30 minutes into the run
  6. Use secondary/primary weapon to one-shot Eximus units and Acolytes

Dealing with Acolytes

Kill these three instantly: Violence (uses Silence), Malice (uses Magnetize), Mania (uses Lacera). Other Acolytes can be killed passively. Acolytes spawn approximately every 3-8 minutes at predetermined map locations.

Ivara Duo Strategy

Ivara Prime (3 Forma)

Ivara serves as the main DPS in the duo strategy, using an identical build to Solo Chroma with Ensnare subsumed. Prowl provides supplementary credit bonuses.

Key Rule: Ivara Must Host

Chroma cannot host in duo because Effigy procs depend on FPS. The host is surrounded by gas effects and will have low FPS, resulting in credit loss. Ivara hosts and DPSes while Chroma supports.

Ivara Procedure

  • Start DPS from the box position
  • Keep crosshair on the largest enemy groups to maximize Gas procs
  • Eximus units are Chroma's responsibility
  • Cast Ensnare every chance possible to keep enemies from firing
  • Occasionally activate Prowl for survivability and extra credit drops
  • Ensnare pull speed depends on FPS — higher FPS means faster pulls

Chroma's Support Role

  • Clear Eximus units and Acolytes (kill Blitz, Jade, and Arson Eximus immediately)
  • Strip Overguard from other Eximus and Nox
  • Keep other Eximus alive as anchors for Ensnare
  • Consistently throw Afentis with alternate fire
  • Use Warcry around 30 minutes in, Vex Armor around 2 hours in

Performance and Graphic Settings

FPS significantly impacts farming efficiency. Gas and Electricity procs create visual clutter that tanks performance during extended runs.

Recommended Settings

  • Change all colors to black on your Warframe to reduce visual clutter and save FPS
  • Set Visual Effects Intensity to minimum
  • Use the lowest graphics settings possible
  • Disable unnecessary particle effects

Frequently Asked Questions

How many credits per minute should I aim for?

Target at least 200k pace (approximately 2 million credits in 10 minutes). With a Credit Booster this becomes 400k/min, with Credit Blessing 250k/min, or with both 500k/min. Press Tab in-mission to check your current pace.

Why Titan, Saturn instead of other missions?

Circulus on Lua is no longer viable because Ancient Protectors spam Overguard on enemies, preventing Ensnare from working. Corpus and Infested factions expire too quickly from Gas damage. Grineer survival on Titan provides the best credit accumulation and bonus resources like Nano Spores, Polymer Bundles, and Plastids.

Can I use this method as a non-host?

No. The Secura Lecta passive only works with the host. In duo mode, Ivara must be the host and DPS while Chroma supports, because Effigy procs depend on FPS and the host has lower FPS from gas effects.

Does the companion need to stay alive for credit bonuses?

The bonus credits from Prosperous Retriever still work even when the companion is down, so there is no need to waste time reviving your pet.
