Section 8 of 9

Resources & Economy

Credits, Endo, Platinum, and the Market.

Warframe's economy spans six distinct currencies and dozens of crafting resources. Understanding what each one is for — and what to prioritize — saves you enormous time and prevents costly mistakes.

Core Currencies

Credits

The primary in-game currency earned from almost every mission. Used for blueprints from the Market, crafting in the Foundry, buying mods from syndicates, trading fees, and more.

HOW TO EARN: Farm: Profit-Taker (Orb Vallis), Index (Neptune), or simply run missions consistently.
AVOID: Don't buy Platinum with Credits — they are completely separate currencies.
ΞEndo

Used exclusively to rank up (upgrade) mods. You'll constantly need more of it. Higher-rank mods like max-rank Primed mods can cost 100,000+ Endo.

HOW TO EARN: Farm: Arbitrations (special high-level missions), Ayatan Sculptures (bring to Maroo on Maroo's Bazaar node on Mars for Endo), Sorties.
AVOID: Don't waste Endo upgrading low-priority mods — focus on your core build mods first.
Platinum

The premium currency — purchased with real money OR traded from other players for rare items/mods. Used for Warframe/weapon slots, cosmetics, Orokin Reactors/Catalysts, and convenience.

HOW TO EARN: Earn via trading: sell rare mods, Riven mods, or Prime parts to other players. Check warframe.market for prices.
AVOID: Never spend Platinum on resources, Credits, or crafting time. Slots and cosmetics are worth it; rush-crafting generally isn't.
Void Traces

Used to Refine Void Relics before running Void Fissure missions. Refined relics have higher chances of giving Radiant (best) tier drops of Prime parts.

HOW TO EARN: Farm: Automatically collected during Void Fissure missions (missions with a glowing crack symbol on the Star Chart).
AVOID: Don't waste Void Traces on every relic — prioritize refining relics that contain Prime parts you actually want.
Tenno Tip
Never spend Platinum on resources, Credits, Blueprints, or crafting time. Save it for Warframe and weapon slots (you start with very few), Orokin Reactors/Catalysts (when not available from alerts), and cosmetics you genuinely want. Everything else can be obtained in-game. Note: Nightwave regularly sells Orokin Reactors and Catalysts for Nightwave Creds — always check the Nightwave store before spending Platinum on them.

Void Relics and Prime Parts

Prime Warframes and weapons are enhanced versions of base items with better stats and polarities. They are obtained by opening Void Relics during Void Fissure missions.

  • Collect Void Relics from missions, Nightwave, and Syndicate shops.
  • Take them into a Void Fissure mission (marked with a glowing crack on the Star Chart).
  • Kill Corrupted enemies to collect Reactant — 10 Reactant opens your Relic.
  • At mission end, choose from your relic's drops or a squadmate's drops.
  • Refine relics with Void Traces before running them to improve the drop rates.
  • Trade Prime parts you don't need on warframe.market for Platinum.
